Hotspur Theatre Company was founded in 2013 by Tam Williams, and is proud to have Simon Callow CBE as patron.
Originally commissioned by producer Stewart Collins to develop our first project for the 2014 Petworth Festival, The Petworth Plays was created out of scenes extracted from Elizabethan, Jacobean, and Caroline plays contained in the House library.
Following the success of The Petworth Plays, the company were invited to create a bespoke promenade event for the Mill at Sonning in the spring of 2015; Dead of Night, a terrifying ghost story, was the result.
Not Half Bard, a hilarious whirlwind tour of Shakespeare's best bits, was originally created for The Carpenters Guild of London, and has been performed at several venues across the south east during 2017.
Hotspur Theatre Company specialises in creating site-specific, small-cast productions of big material, bringing text to life with pace and verve, music and wit.
